What’s Good: Teenager Saves Money To Buy Friend Wheelchair
There are two teenage boys in Norman Arkansas that are best friends and are always there for each other. Tanner Wilson is a high school senior and one of his best friends is Brandon Qualls, who has some disabilities and is confined to a wheelchair.
Brandon has always used a regular wheelchair but it does make his arms tired day in and out. Brandon has been asking his parents for an electric wheelchair for a long time but unfortunately his parents could not afford it. That is where Tanner comes in.
Tanner works a part time job with a mechanic after school and decided to save up some money to buy his best friend an electric wheelchair. Let me clarify, he saved up for TWO years!
When he arrived at school last week, his best friend couldn't be more surprised or grateful! When asked why Tanner did this, he said Brandon had been a really good friend to him and had always been there for him, so he just wanted to "do him a favor." And he'd do it all again if he had to.
