What’s Good: Marine’s Mom Surprised When She Throws Out First Pitch
Honoring our military always brings a soft spot out in me, especially when it involves family and surprises. Warning: If you cry easily and embarrassingly, you might want to wait to watch this until you are alone.
There is a mom in York, Pennsylvania named Jennifer Miller who recently got invited to throw out the first pitch at a minor league baseball game last week. Why did she get chosen? Well, the game was honoring the troops and Miller's son Shane has been stationed in Okinawa with the Marines for the past two years so they chose her to throw the first pitch.
However, there was a surprise waiting for her after that throw. Once Miller threw the first pitch to the catcher, the catcher took off his mask and it was her SON! You can see the pure joy on her face on a video someone caught. Her and her son have contacted each other about once every couple months for the past two years and after this huge surprise, she also found out that Shane's tour is over now and he is home for good!
Thank you for your service Shane! Check out the video here.
