What’s Good: Kids Wake Up At 4:30 A.M. To Shovel Woman’s Driveway
Waking teenagers up for school is usually a difficult task, but for these four high school seniors they were happy to lend a neighborly hand at 4:30 a.m..
In Parsippany, New Jersey, there is a woman who has regular dialysis treatments and if she doesn't go in for her appointments she could die. Well, a neighbor has been helping her get to those appointments every day in winter by plowing her driveway every day. However, during her last appointment, there was a big snow storm and he is a paramedic and was not able to plow her driveway. So, his little brother decide to step up to the plate and lend a helping hand.
Patrick Lanigan is a high school senior and decided that he would help out his neighbor and plow her driveway before school. He was smart about it though because he knew it would take awhile so he called for some help. Four of his high school friends spent the night at his house and all woke up at 4:30 a.m. to plow the driveway which they got done in 30 minutes.
Although they were also hoping for a snow day, it was no such luck. However they did a good deed and in the end the woman was able to get to her dialysis appointment.
