An Oelwein man, wanted on several Fayette County warrants, has been taken into custody.


Just after 7pm Sunday (March 28), Oelwein Police arrested 29 year old Tyler Thompson.

Thompson had turned himself in, at the Oelwein Police Department.

The warrants were for Violation of a Pretrial Release, on an original charge of Assault Causing Serious Injury, and Failure to Appear in Court for the charge of Assault Causing Serious Injury.

Thompson was held in the Fayette County jail in West Union.
