Waterloo’s Favorite Irish Pub Set to Reopen VERY Soon
At a press conference at the Hy-Vee on Flammang Drive in Waterloo, Iowa Irish Fest officials shared some exciting news about the upcoming festival set to take place the first full weekend in August.
Officials also announced that the beloved Waterloo Irish pub Jameson's would be reopening very soon.
The restaurant has been closed since early April.
Jameson's Public House Changed Hands
Jameson's Public House, located at 310 East 4th Street in Waterloo is always a must visit when Iowa Irish Fest rolls around.
The only authentic Irish pub in Waterloo was established in 2005, and opened for business in February of 2006, according to the official website.
"Since then, we’ve been bringing the Emerald Isle to the Cedar Valley with our fine food, Gaelic atmosphere and great entertainment."
In early April, it was announced that Jameson's would be closing down temporarily as the reins were handed off to the new owner Jeremy Jones.
Jones also owns and runs Screaming Eagle in Downtown Waterloo.
For the past few weeks, the new team behind Jameson's have been deep cleaning, redecorating, and working to get staff members trained.
When Will They Be Reopening for Business?
At an Iowa Irish Fest press conference, Jones confirmed that Jameson's would be reopening in time for the event in August.
This staple of Downtown Waterloo is set to open again for business sometime in the next seven to ten days (as of Wednesday, April 24th).
In preparation for the grand reopening day, Jeremy Jones is in search of a few more servers to work at Jameson's. Check out the job listing down below!
