The annual Hartman Reserve Maple Syrup Festival has been set.

The Friends of Hartman Reserve will host their 32nd Annual Maple Syrup Festival fundraiser, Saturday and Sunday, March 4 and 5, from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM each day.

This year the event will be held at Cedar Heights Elementary School, 2417 Rainbow Drive in Cedar Falls, due to construction at Hartman Reserve. Maple Syrup Fest celebrates the sugar maple trees that are part of Hartman's 340 acres of woodland. The fundraiser benefits environmental education and natural resource management at Hartman Reserve.

The Festival features an all-you-can-eat pancake meal with syrup made from the sap of Hartman's sugar maple trees. Chris Cakes will be showing off his flapjack flipping talents again at the griddle, tossing pancakes in the air for diners to catch. The meal includes sausage, Starbucks coffee, and Hansen’s Farm Fresh Dairy butter, milk, and cream.
