Loretta Lynn Cancels Two Upcoming Iowa Concerts
Lynn was supposed to perform at Hoyt Sherman Place in Des Moines on July 7 and Dubuque's Five Flags Center on July 21, but both venues announced on Facebook that the shows are canceled, citing "circumstances beyond our control" as the reason. The Five Flags Center anticipates that the concert at their venue will be rescheduled sometime in 2018.
Loretta Lynn: Pics Through the Years
Lynn suffered a stroke in early May and was moved to a rehab facility a few weeks later, but updates about her recovery have been sparse, save for a few posts from family members. However, the country legend appears optimistic about a return to the stage, even announcing a new appearance at her ranch. The Tennessee Motorcycle and Music Revival will take place Sept. 28 through Oct. 1, 2017, and Lynn will both host and perform.
She's expected to make a full recovery. Lynn's sister, Crystal Gayle, has been giving fans light updates about her condition, and the legend has all of country music on her side, with several artists reaching out to show their support, including Garth Brooks, Martina McBride and Jennifer Nettles.
Lynn has an album of new and old hits, Wouldn’t It Be Great, set for release on Aug. 18.
