This twenty-one-year-old is the face and name behind a multi-million-dollar empire.

From Dance Moms to Internet Stardom

Jojo Siwa first stepped into the spotlight as a child dancer on the hit television show 'Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition' and 'Dance Moms.'

I hate to admit it, but I may have binged way too many episodes of Dance Moms with my sister during COVID-19. So, I am completely caught up on all of the Jojo Siwa lore.

How Jojo Siwa Became a Viral Sensation

When she left the dancing reality television show, she evolved into an internet star. She started out with making YouTube content aimed at children. Her energetic personality and colorful bows garnered her 12 million subscribers.

Siwa collaborated with the likes of Kim Kardashian, Emma Chamberlain, and other major internet stars.

Jojo also released music with videos that had BILLIONS of views on YouTube.

Jojo Siwa Made History on Dancing With the Stars

When she was just seventeen years old, she publicly came out as gay. This caused a major shift in the YouTube star's personal and professional life.

That same year, Siwa made history on 'Dancing with the Stars' as the first contestant to have a same sex dance partner. The professional dancer turned internet star didn't end up winning the competition show, but she did get pretty dang close!

Siwa and her dance partner Jenna Johnson made it to the finals but fell short to basketball pro Iman Shumpert.

Jojo Siwa LIVE Is Coming to West Des Moines

Since her appearance on the show, she's started making more mature content. The twenty-one-year-old now has her own podcast and is releasing new music.

With this slightly older audience in hand, she is once again going out on tour.

Jojo Siwa LIVE will be coming to West Des Moines, Iowa this summer. The show is slated for Thursday, July 31st at the Val Air Ballroom at 7:30 PM. Tickets for the show officially go on sale Saturday, March 29th at 10:00 AM CST.
