The social media team for the massive summer event should get a raise for their PR execution this year.

For every single concert that has been announced so far, the official Iowa State Fair Instagram has posted an extreme close up of the performer.

Leading fans to excitedly speculate about who will be performing at the Grandstand in Des Moines this year.

2025 Iowa State Fair Grandstand Lineup So Far

Musical acts like Parker McCollum, Def Leppard, Forrest Frank, Megan Moroney, and T-Pain have already been announced for the State Fair.

Another Major Country Star Joins the Lineup

Initially, people were guessing from the zoomed in picture of a guitar that it could be performers like Zach Top, Dan & Shay, Alan Jackson, and even pop star Shawn Mendes.

Less than 24 hours later, the artist was revealed to be Hank Williams Jr.

The country star made his Grand Ole Opry debut at the age of eleven, singing the same song that his father sang on the Opry stage “Lovesick Blues."

He even went on for an encore!

Hank Williams Jr. received his first of five-country music entertainer of the year awards in 1987. This was the same exact year that he dropped two platinum selling albums Hank Like and Born to Boogie.

This legendary performer is set to take to the Iowa State Fair Grandstand stage on Friday August 15th at 8:00 PM.

Tickets for the show go on sale to the public on Friday, February 28th at 10:00 AM CST.
