Restaurant In Downtown Cedar Falls Is Open For Business
It looks like downtown Cedar Falls is a big hotspot for new restaurants and businesses at the moment. Another new eatery is open for business in the historic downtown district.
Months ago it was announced that the iconic Santa's Workshop on the corner of Main Street would not be returning to Cedar Falls. The physical structure of the workshop was sold to a couple that donated it to the town of Traer.
This spot was bought by a business, specifically a restaurant.
Georges Local a restaurant right next to Whiskey Road in Cedar Falls is now open for business. Located at 108 East 4th Street the owners have been teasing locals on social media about their opening. On Tuesday, Georges Local officials dropped this on their Instagram and Facebook.
The restaurant officially opened for business on Wednesday, September 29th.
The owners of the new restaurant have been working over the past summer to get this project off the ground. If you were anywhere near downtown Cedar Falls over the past few weeks, you probably saw all the construction going on in that neck of the woods.
The new eatery will be operating under the following hours going forward:
Monday CLOSED
Tuesday 11:00 AM - 10 PM
Wednesday 11:00 AM - 10 PM
Thursday 11:00 AM - 10 PM
Friday 11:00 AM - 10:30 PM
Saturday 11:00 AM - 10:30 PM
Sunday 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM
Some of the other restaurants that have opened up around the Cedar Valley include Carter House which is open right next to the historic Black Hawk Hotel. A brewery also will be opening in Waverly this fall.
