Since its introduction in 2008, the National Hockey League's New Year's Day outdoor game has grown into a huge hit with hockey fans. An estimated 105,000 fans packed Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, Michigan to watch the 2014 version.  Now the NHL looks to capitalize on its 'Big Day' in the 'Big House' with four more outdoor games.

The NHL's outdoor series features four outdoor games in three cities. Los Angelos, New York, and Chicago will all have their day on the ice. Each team will wear a special jersey for their respective games.

On January 25, 2014, the L.A. Kings will play the Anaheim Ducks at Dodger Stadium.  Next there will be two games at Yankee Stadium.

On January 26, 2014, the New York Rangers will play the New Jersey Devils.  Three days later the Rangers will play the Buffalo Sabers.

The four game series will conclude on March 2, 2014 when the defending Stanley Cup Champions host the Pittsburgh Penguins at Soldier Field.
