A new restaurant with a big local name behind it is opening this summer.

Starbeck's Smokehouse, located at 250 Westfield Avenue in Waterloo is a local favorite. The restaurant which offers a variety of barbecue options is owned and operated by Jeff Starbeck.

He announced to the public that he will be opening up another restaurant in the very near future.

A New Burger Spot

In a recent report from the Waterloo Courier, it was confirmed that this new restaurant will be called King Bucks and will offer "an American fast casual" vibe.

King Bucks will serve burgers, fries, onion rings, as well as tenderloin sandwiches.

King Buck's is going to be operating out of a very coveted spot in Cedar Falls.

The new eatery will be located at 6719 University Avenue which used to be the home of Burger King and Total Nutrition, according to reports.

When Will the Restaurant Open for Business?

It's actually happening pretty soon.

According to the recent report, this new restaurant is set to open its doors sometime in early July. So, there's a good chance you'll be able to try out this new spot right around the 4th of July.
