Popular Midwest Burger Spot Might Be Coming to Cedar Falls
One Midwestern burger chain is trying to get a foothold here in Eastern Iowa.
Late last week, the public was made aware of a possible new restaurant that could be coming to Cedar Falls in the near future.
At the Cedar Falls Planning and Zoning Commission meeting last week, officials approved a site plan for construction of a growing burger franchise, according to reports.
This group of Cedar Falls officials approved plans for Boulder Tap House to POSSIBLY come through to Eastern Iowa.
What Is Boulder Tap House?
This is a Midwestern franchise that serves up burgers, wings, and the like. There are three Iowa locations and ten scattered all throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin.
If this Cedar Falls location ends up coming together then this will be the fourth Iowa location.
Where Would the Restaurant Be Located?
According to reports, if this restaurant does end up being built in Cedar Falls, it will be in a highly coveted area.
The Cedar Falls Boulder Tap House would be in between Brandilynn Boulevard and Viking Road which is next to Veridian Credit Union and Unity Point Clinic Express.
When Will It Open?
Woah! Hold your horses!
Boulder Tap House is not officially coming to Cedar Falls...yet.
Reports confirm that the next step to make this restaurant a reality is in the hands of the City Council. The site plans have to be approved by the Cedar Falls City Council at an upcoming council meeting.
These meetings are held on the first and third Mondays of every single month. The next one is slated to be held on May 20th at 7:00 PM at the Cedar Falls City Hall Council Chambers at 220 Clay Street.
We will keep you updated on the status of the restaurant in the upcoming weeks.
