Iowa’s State Snack Food Is…
Calling all Iowans... it is time to give your opinion on what snack food your state is most known for.
There is a lot you can tell about a state once you figure out what types of food they are most known for, especially whether you ever want to visit there or not. Well, Buzzfeed has put together a list of each state's signature snack food. I am not really sure how they figured these out or what they used to get these results but some of them do make sense.
Some of the states that seem to make sense such as French fries for Idaho, Whoopie Pies for Maine, fried cheese curds for Wisconsin and salt water taffy for New Jersey. However, there are a few that don't make sense such as Yogurt for New York.... really?
Well, how about for Iowa? What is the snack our state is known for? Apparently, we are known for...Walking Tacos! Apparently, Walking Tacos are rumored to be invented at the Iowa State Fair. It consists of crushed Doritos or Fritos, topped with taco fillings like sour cream, cheese, salsa, jalapeños, chili and served in a chip bag.
Do you agree with this?
