During this pandemic, we've seen some serious Iowa Nice. Here's a good example of a local company doing some good in its community, and those it serves. According to a press release sent to this radio station, grocery chain Hy-Vee is partnering with Bellevue University for a new Hy-Vee Tuition Assistance Program. The program will be made available to all Hy-Vee employees and their immediate family members. The tuition assistance will be available beginning this, the fall 2020, academic semester.

The press release states that all other Hy-Vee employees, including part-time employees will be able to receive,

Up to $3,500 in annual tuition assistance when enrolled as a full-time student. Employees’ immediate family members can also receive up to $2,500 in annual tuition assistance through the program when enrolled as a full-time student.

The school the student can attend is Bellevue University. According to the press release, they offer over 50 bachelor’s degrees and almost 30 master’s degrees, all offered online and some select in-person options at Bellevue University’s campus in Bellevue, Nebraska. Hy-Vee is headquartered in West Des Moines.
