Where is your favorite place to shop for groceries? Maybe Iowa-based Hy-Vee or Fareway?

Right now, with prices rising on so many items, maybe "nowhere" is your answer.

Wherever you shop, chances are you aren't shopping at one of America's top grocery stores because a new study named the top 10, and Iowa is only home to two of them!

America's Top Grocery Chains: How The Study Was Conducted

I have no doubt the study, done by Food & Wine, left out many regional chains, but it seems odd that it's filled with so many I have never even heard of.

Food & Wine used at a report by Solitaired that analyzed approximately 7 million Google reviews from around 3,000 grocery stores across 100 major U.S. cities to determine customer satisfaction levels.

The study evaluated key factors such as pricing, staffing, product selection, and wait times.

The issue is, it appears no Iowa city was included. So, for Food & Wine to make their list using this data... It's a little lacking.

Smaller, local markets like Mazzaro's Italian Market in Florida made the list, but Florida has a tremendously high population. Especially compared to Iowa's only 3.2 million residents.
