Help Make Masks For Older Iowans With “Sewing For Seniors”
If you have been looking for a way to give back to your community while you are quarantined at home, here is a way!
"Sewing for Seniors" is a campaign to help make face masks for older adults in Iowa. The Iowa City Senior Center started the project to help keep area seniors safe during COVID-19. As we all know, the Centers for Disease Control has recommended that people wear a homemade mask when out in public to keep yourselves safe and slow the spread of Coronavirus.
The Senior Center is taking it one step further and has asked for volunteers to help make masks for older Iowans and they have teamed up with the TRAIL of Johnson county for contact less delivery. The Senior Center will provide material and sewing patterns and all you have to do if you would like to support the project is go to https://www.icseniorcenterfriends.org/.
