Over the past several weeks, most of the Hawkeye State has been seeing temperatures in the 90s. Luckily, to remedy this stifling heat, there has also been some rain off and on again throughout Iowa.
Some areas saw showers, other regions saw intense rainfall and storms.
According to reports, the average rainfall in Iowa was about 5.24 inches in the month of June. Due to the rain that swept through most of the state, many areas have flooded or are preparing in case of flooding.
When Will the Cedar River Crest in Cedar Falls?
According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the Cedar River is set to crest at 93.73 feet in Cedar Falls on Wednesday, June 26th. The approximate time that it will crest is expected to be at around 1:00 PM.
