The Winneshiek County Sheriff was called out twice late last week, to break up fights between 2 women in 2 different towns, in one night.

The first incident was reported to authorities at about 6:30pm Thursday (Oct. 29). Deputies were sent to the Country Express Store/Co-op near Burr Oak, to investigate an altercation between 2 women in the parking lot.

Sometime during the incident, the business' building was rammed by a vehicle, causing damage to the storage area that contained several LP tanks.

Officers were able to separate the women, but the two later met up again in the Freeport area, and another fight began, prompting another call to the Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office.

Responding deputies broke up the 2nd fight and arrested one of the women, identified as 27 year old Iesha Nailing of Decorah. Nailing is being charged with Aggravated Misdemeanor Criminal Mischief-3rd Degree, and Disorderly Conduct (fighting or violent behavior). The name of the other woman was not released.

The Winneshiek County Sheriff was assisted by the Decorah Police Department.
