Waterloo: Move Your Car or Get Towed

We got snow in most of the state of Iowa this weekend, including Waterloo. With it came the need to get snow removed from downtown. Waterloo’s Downtown Area Clean-up will begin at 6:00 pm tomorrow, Tuesday February 2nd, in the evening.

During this time, all vehicles parked on downtown streets must be moved to allow for effective snow removal. Free parking is available, starting at 5:00 pm Tuesday in the parking ramp located on the corner of Commercial St. and W. 5th St. with the entrance on Commercial St. and in the Park Ave. parking ramp with the entrance on Park Ave. until Wednesday morning, February 3rd, at 7:00 am. Free parking will also be made available under the 218 overpass. Please note that ramp parking will be charged at the posted rates for times other than those noted at the ramp.

Be prepared for another round of car moving: It appears another winter storm is heading our way midweek.
