UNI Commencement Ceremonies Canceled Due To The Coronavirus
University of Northern Iowa officials announced on Wednesday that online coursework is being extended through the spring and summer semesters. Leaders at the university said the decision adheres to guidance on COVID-19 directly from the Iowa Board of Regents, as well as state and national officials.
For the good of everyone's health and safety, UNI'd Department of Residence is encouraging students to return to their family homes for the remainder of the semester. Students have been asked to move out of residence halls, however, those who rely on UNI dorms as their permanent housing or wish to stay on campus as their primary method of social distancing are welcome to stay.
The Student Health Clinic is moving to telehealth appointments beginning Monday, March 23.
Sadly spring 2020 Commencement ceremonies are canceled, however all spring graduates are encouraged to participate in the Fall 2020 Commencement exercises.
Spring graduation is also canceled at the University of Iowa and Iowa State University.
