Tiffany’s Spoiler Movie Review: Catch Me If You Can

Johnny Marks gave me "Catch Me If You Can" starring Leonardo Dicaprio and Tom Hanks for our movie exchange. Here is a little backstory if you have never seen the movie before.

High schooler Frank Abagnale Jr. idolizes his father, who's in trouble with the IRS and when his parents separate, Frank runs away to Manhattan with $25 in his checking account, vowing to regain dad's losses and get his parents back together. Just a few years later, the FBI tracks him down in France and he is jailed for passing more than $4,000,000 in bad checks. Along the way, he has posed as a Pan Am pilot, a pediatrician, and an attorney. And, from nearly the beginning of this life of crime, he's been pursued by a  FBI agent, Carl Hanratty.

Sounds pretty epic, right? This was also based on a true story and of course embellished along the way. The movie was a popcorn movie. Not much thinking involved to figure out the plot, some comedy as Frank evades capture from Carl, and in the end gets captured and recruited to help the FBI. If you are doing laundry and want to have something on in the background, this is one of those movies (This is how I watched it). Acting was decent, sets and writing were ok, it really was an entertaining movie.

I would watch it again, or have it as background noise, when I have chores to do.
