Several Vandalism Reports on One Street in Oelwein
An Oelwein man has been arrested on drug and other charges, after a traffic stop Wednesday afternoon.
Oelwein Police pulled over a vehicle driven by 50 year old Steven Jones at about 2:30pm in the 100 block of 4th Street NW. Jones was subsequently arrested on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Driving While Suspended.
Oelwein authorities are also looking into several recent criminal mischief incidents, most of them from Thursday morning (May 27), 3 of them on 3rd Avenue SE.
The vandalisms were reported at 5:15am in the 200 block of 3rd Avenue SE, at 9:15am in the 200 block of 3rd Avenue SE, and just after 11:30am in the 300 block of 3rd Avenue SE.
A Criminal Mischief incident was also reported at about 10:15pm Wednesday in the 200 block of 20th Street SE.
