There is nothing more quintessentially Iowan than corn, the Field of Dreams or RAGBRAI.

When I first moved to Iowa several years ago, I had no clue what exactly a RAGBRAI was.

Turns out it’s this amazing Iowa tradition!

RAGBRAI otherwise known as Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa is the longest, largest, and oldest touring bicycle event in the world, according to reports.

This year will be the 51st RAGBRAI run, and officials are getting geared up for one of their best rides yet.

While it will be the shortest RAGBRAI in event history, it will in fact be the hilliest, according to reports.

Earlier this year, officials announced the towns that riders would stop in overnight.

Now, we know the full-fledged route for this year's ride!

Day 1

RAGBRAI is set to kick off on Sunday, July 21th in Glenwood. The day before will be a RAGBRAI event expo that will feature gear, accessories, and bike tourism for those getting ready to set out for the multi-day ride.

Riders will start in Glenwood and ride for 41.9 miles through Silver City, Henderson (which is the meeting town), Emerson, and wrapping up in Red Oak.

The theme for this day is Tire Dip - Mile of Silence.

Day 2

On that Monday morning, riders will leave Red Oak and go 40.7 miles through Elliot, Griswold (which is the meeting town), Lewis, and finally finishing up in Atlantic.

The theme for the second day is Hometown Pride Jersey Day.

Day 3

This day's ride starts at Atlantic and will be 82 miles. Riders will make their way through Wiota, Cumberland, Massena, Fontanelle, Greenfield (which is the meeting town), Orient, Macksburg, and finish up the day in Winterset.

Tuesday's theme is College Jersey Day.

Day 4

Riders will depart from Winterset on Wednesday morning and travel 75 miles. They are set to ride through St. Charles, St. Mary's, Indianola (which is the meeting town), Milo, Lacona, Melcher-Dallas, until they finally arrive in Knoxville.

Wednesday's theme is RAGBRAI Jersey Day.

Day 5

At this point, I don't know how all of the riders don't just quit. On this day, cyclists will ride 62.9 miles.

After leaving Knoxville, riders will make their way through Attica, Lovilia, Albia (which is the meeting town), Eddyville, Chillicothe, and wrapping up in Ottumwa.

This day's theme is I Ride 4 Day.

Day 6

We're nearing the end...

The day's event kicks off in Ottumwa with the remaining riders weaving through 84.8 miles of Iowa road. This will be the longest day for the riders.

They'll traverse through Agency, Eldon, Selma, Libertyville, Fairfield (which is the meeting town), Pleasant Plain, Brighton, Wayland, Trenton, until they finally reach Mt. Pleasant where they'll rest for the night.

The theme for this day is Mr. Pork Chop Jr. Day & Karras Loop.

That route just sounds exhausting!

Day 7

FINALLY!

On Saturday, July 27th the RAGBRAI riders will only have to travel 46.5 miles after they leave Mt. Pleasant. This final trek will have participants go through Mediapolis, Kingston, and finish RAGBRAI in Burlington.

The final theme is Tire Dip.

See Inside Roseanne Barr's Eldon Mansion

Roseanne Barr was set to make a home in Iowa. She and her then-husband Tom Arnold were in the midst of building a mansion in Eldon. It was put on hold when the couple eventually split up. This left a beautiful, unfinished, and kind of spooky mansion behind.
