The Oelwein Police Department has released information on several recent arrests in the city.

On Wednesday (July 21) shortly after 2 am, 22-year-old Joshua Lillibridge of Oelwein was taken into custody in the 500 blocks of 5th Avenue NE. Lillibridge is being charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

During a traffic stop Saturday night at 10th Street and Highway 150, 27-year-old Stefen Miller of Oelwein was taken into custody for OWI-First Offense.

On July 19th, Oelwein police were called to a traffic accident at the intersection of South Frederick and 1st Street SE. A motorcycle driven by 62 year old Gina Forbes of Oelwein struck another vehicle. No one was injured. Forbes was arrested for OWI First Offense.

Also the evening of July 19th, officers were called to investigate a disabled vehicle in the 200 blocks of West Charles. Police arrested the driver, 64-year-old Terry Staton of Oelwein for Driving While License is Revoked, and Failing to Re-file SR22 Insurance. Staton was also wanted on a Black Hawk County warrant for Failure to Appear, on the original charge of Driving While his License is Revoked.

On July 17th at 1 am, officers observed a vehicle in the ten-block of 3rd Street SE, strike a curb and travel onto the sidewalk. The car was pulled over in a nearby alley in the 300 blocks of 3rd Street SE. The driver, 35-year-old Kyle Geary of Oelwein, allegedly showed signs of intoxication. He was arrested for OWI-2nd Offense.

And on July 18th, in the ten-block of 1st Avenue SE, a vehicle was pulled over because the driver was not wearing a seat belt. The driver, 30-year-old Kody Letts of Winthrop, was taken into custody for Driving While his License is Suspended.
