An Independence woman, 43 year old Amy Banowetz, died Monday. A celebration of life will be held Thursday from 5pm to 8pm at the Reiff Family Center-Funeral home in Independence.

Services for a Strawberry Point woman, 98 year old Lillian Mae Falck, are Friday at 10:30am at Emanuel Lutheran church in Strawberry Point. Burial in Cass Township cemetery. Visitation is an hour before services at the church. Leonard Muller funeral home is in charge of arrangements.

Services for a Postville woman, 91 year old Clarian Gunderson, are Friday at 2pm at St. Paul Lutheran church in Postville. Inurnment at Postville cemetery. Friends may call at 3pm following the inurnment, at the church. Schutte Grau funeral home in Postville is assisting the family.

An Oelwein woman, 74 year old Myrna Monnahan, died Monday. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 22nd from 3-6pm at her granddaughter's home at 302 1st Avenue NE in Oelwein. Jamsion Schmitz funeral home in Oelwein is assisting the family.

Services for a Waverly man, 82 year old Lawrence "Larry" Schmidt, are Friday at 11am at St. Paul's Lutheran church and Schools in Waverly, followed by military honors. Private family burial service will be held at a later date. Visitation is 4-7pm Thursday at Kaiser Corson funeral home in Waverly, with Masonic service at 7pm.

Services for a Tripoli woman, 80 year old Marlene Buchholz, are Friday at 11am at Grace Lutheran church in Tripoli. Burial at St. John Lutheran church-Crane Creek cemetery in rural Tripoli. A luncheon will follow the service at the Tripoli Comunity Hall. Visitation is 4-7pm Thursday at Rettig Funeral home in Tripoli and an hour before services at the church.
