Motorcycle Driver Cited After Ditch Accident

Buchanan County authorities are citing a motorcycle rider after he put his bike into a ditch.

The Buchanan County Sheriff was notified of the accident, just before 4:30pm Friday (March 19) on Otterville Road, north of Independence.

A 2013 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by Austin Marovets of Dewar, went out of control, entered a ditch, and came to rest on it's side.

Marovets was taken by a private vehicle to the Independence hospital, to be treated for unspecified injuries.

He is being charged with Failure to Maintain Control.
