Authorities are trying to piece together an incident that happened last Friday night (April 2nd), in which a man allegedly jumped in front of a moving vehicle.

The incident was reported to authorities at around 7:30pm, on westbound Highway 30, at mile marker 245 in Linn County.

48 year old Amber Pattee was driving west, when a pedestrian, identified as 35 year old Andrew Lappe, appeared to jump in front of the moving vehicle.

Andrew Lappe was taken by ambulance to University Hospitals in Iowa City to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. Amber Pattee was not hurt.

The Linn County Sheriff continues the investigation.
