On August 12th, major league baseball is coming to Iowa for a special occasion. Two MLB teams will play on the iconic Field of Dreams in Dyersville. The game was scheduled for last summer, but the pandemic made the baseball association put that game on pause.

In 2019, officials from the Field of Dreams movie site said that they would be hosting this huge game. Next to the beloved baseball field made specifically for the movie, a major league field now sits.

People all over the world have been trying to get tickets to the highly anticipated game between the Yankees and the White Sox. The entire town of Dyersville has been waiting for this event for more than two years. Businesses are gearing up to finally welcome people back post-pandemic.

And they're doing that in style with a major outdoor FREE concert for anyone who wants to attend. The major act that will be in attendance is Maddie & Tae.

The free concert aptly called Country Concert will be at Commercial Club Park, and doors to the event open at 5:00 pm. As of right now, the lineup includes Shy Carter, Ingrid Andres, and Maddie & Tae will of course close the show.

This is all a part of a special two-day event to celebrate the MLB game. It will all kick off on August 11th with different activities in the city of Dyersville. On Wednesday, visitors can check out the If You Build It Exhibit and different food vendors all day leading up to the concert that evening.

Thursday, the day of the game, there will be an MLB watch party so people can take in the game. For more info, check out the Beyond the Game website.
