Labor Day Weekend Will Bring Music History to Field of Dreams

If you've never been to the Field of Dreams movie site/MLB stadium to see the history, or a ballgame, would a music festival convince you to go?

We broke the news months ago that Tim McGraw and Nickelback would each headline a night at the first-ever Field of Dreams concert.

Now, we know the full lineup for both nights of the festival!

The Field of Dreams Music Festival: What You Need to Know

The iconic Field of Dreams in Dyersville, Iowa, made famous by the 1989 film starring Kevin Costner and the late Ray Liotta, is set to host its first-ever music festival on Labor Day weekend 2025.

The historic two-day event will begin on Saturday, August 30, headlined by three-time GRAMMY Award winner Tim McGraw.

The celebration continues on Sunday, August 31, with rock legends Nickelback leading the lineup.

The festival, called Velocity, is more than a concert. It is a tribute to history, family, and the enduring spirit of baseball.

Saturday’s performances will also honor MLB legend Tug McGraw, Tim McGraw’s father, who played for both the New York Mets and the Philadelphia Phillies.

The tribute is especially meaningful as it falls on what would have been Tug McGraw’s 81st birthday.
