Jameson's Changes Hands

Jameson's Public House, located at 310 East 4th Street in Waterloo is a Cedar Valley staple.

The only authentic Irish pub in Waterloo was established in 2005, and opened for business in February of 2006, according to the official website.

"Since then, we’ve been bringing the Emerald Isle to the Cedar Valley with our fine food, Gaelic atmosphere and great entertainment."

In early April, it was announced that Jameson's would be closing down temporarily as the reins were handed off to the new owner Jeremy Jones.

Jones also owns and runs Screaming Eagle in Downtown Waterloo.

Open With A Few Changes

In early May, the restaurant held its soft opening and it seems like it was a success! The team behind Jameson's posted on Facebook, thanking customers for coming out to support the reopening.

"An overwhelming thanks to everyone who has supported our somewhat soft opening these past two nights! We are ecstatic that you are all enjoying what we've put forward so far!"

There were a few changes made to the restaurant. Nothing major though!

The staff did some redecorating, and the menu is a bit different. There's still plenty of Irish food, so no worries!

What Will the Hours Be?

According to the owner's statement on Facebook, Jameson's will open at 4:00 PM Monday through Saturday until the team can get the "kinks worked out."
