Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever played to a raucous Carver Hawkeye Arena Sunday afternoon. Fans had been waiting for months to see the former Iowa legend take the court in Iowa City along with her Fever teammates. How could the game possibly live up to the expectations? No worries, Caitlin Clark delivered...again.

Clark hit her first three-point shot of the game to lead a Fever 8-0 run to start the game, and Carver was officially rocking! Many wondered how Caitlin would look in her first preseason action of the season. Many fans, including the one typing these words now, became a little nervous when Clark was held out of the Fever's preseason opener Saturday night with what was listed as a leg injury. But there was no doubt the Clark would be ready to roll against Brazil on Sunday.

The Cedar Rapids Gazette reports that Clark played a total of 18 minutes in the 108-44 exhibition win. She totaled 16 points, six rebounds, and 5 assists and shot 4 of 6 from three-point range. But there was one shot that Caitlin took that would leave fans shaking their heads in amazement. Just before exiting the game, Clark pulled up for a three BEHIND the logo that marks where she set the NCAA scoring record on February 15, 2024.

The Gazette reports that when asked after the game why she took the shot, Clark responded, "Why not?" It was the exclamation point on an amazing return to Iowa City for both Clark her Fever teammates. You can tell this is going to be a special team. Just look at the way her teammates join her during the postgame interview.

The Indiana Fever have one more preseason game this Saturday in Atlanta. They tip off the regular season on May 17th as they host Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky in Indianapolis.
