The Iowa Hawkeyes (17-5, 6-3) had to hold off a late rally by the Illinois Fighting Illini (13-9, 2-7) for the win 81-74 win Saturday night (February 1, 2014).

The Hawkeyes were up by as many as 21 points with a little over 12 minutes left in the game.  That is when the Illini began to crawl back into the game.  Illinois took a 62-61 lead just two minutes later. Iowa regained the lead for good at 72-70 with 3:50 to go.  They finished the game with a 15-4 run.

Next Up: Iowa hosts Ohio State on February 4, 2014.  Fans are encouraged to wear gold.
