Strong defense helped the Iowa Hawkeyes (19-6, 8-4) men's basketball defeat Penn State (13-13, 4-9) 82-70 on Saturday, February 15, 2015.

The Hawkeyes registered 10 blocks today. That is the most for Iowa since rejecting 12 in the season opener vs. UNC Wilmington.

The win was Iowa's third straight Big Ten road. It's the first time the Hawkeyes have won three straight Big Ten road games since the 1997-98 season.

Roy Devyn Marble scored 10 of his 15 points at the free throw line. Marble is the only player to score 10+ points in every B1G game this season.

The Hawkeyes shot 31-40 from the free throw line setting a team high in both attempts and makes in Big Ten play.

Mike Gesell tied a career high with 4 three pointers.

Next Up: Iowa returns to the road Tuesday for a matchup against Indiana (14-10, 4-7). Tip-off from Assembly Hall is scheduled for 8 p.m. (CT).
