An injured Bald Eagle has been recovered in Fayette County by some area fisherman, and is being treated for it's wounds.

According to the Fayette County Sheriff, 2 men had been fishing on Bear Creek, a privately owned trout stream near Wadena, when they came across the bird.

The injured eagle was found on the side of a bluff next to the creek. The owner of the stream has an agreement with the Department of Natural Resources, to let the public have access for fishing.

The men contacted the Fayette County Sheriff; a deputy and a DNR officer responded to the scene in the valley, where they helped catch the bird.

There was no word on what condition the injured eagle is in, how it was hurt, or if it could be rehabilitated.
