For the first time since the 2005-2006 season, the #14 Iowa Hawkeyes (15-3, 3-1) are off to a 4-1 start in Big Ten men's basketball play for 1st time since 2005-06.  Win number four came Sunday (Jan. 19, 2014) afternoon in front of a sold out home crowd.  Over 15,000 saw the Hawkeyes beat the Minnesota Golden Gophers (14-5, 3-3).

It was Iowa's 20th straight home win, and they remain perfect on the year with an 8-0 home record during the 2013/2014 season.

Minnesota started the game strong, but it was Iowa's bench that kept things close in the first half.  At the break, the Gophers lead, 43-41.  25 of the 43 points from the bench came during the first 20 minutes.  It was the Hawkeyes that stormed out of the locker room scoring 50 points in the second half for the 94-73 blowout.

Aaron White netted 18 points.  10 of those points came from the free throw line (10-of-11).  Roy Devyn Marble finished with 16 points with three 3-pointers. 33 of the duo's 34 points came in the second half.

Five Hawkeyes scored in double figures in back-to-back games.  Joining the double digit squad was Josh Oglesby (17 points), Gabriel Olaseni (12 points), and Mike Gesell (11 points).

Next Up: The Hawkeyes (15-3, 4-1) return to action Wednesday, heading to Ann Arbor to face Michigan beginning at 6 p.m. (CT).
