Fayette County authorities have arrested an Arkansas man after a traffic stop, just north of the city of Fayette.

Just before 10:15pm Thursday (July 8), a Fayette County deputy pulled over a pickup on Highway 150, for several traffic violations.

The driver, 37 year old Nicholas Damont Williams of Little Rock, Arkansas, was in contact with a protected party. Williams was taken into custody, on a charge of Violation of a No-Contact order, which is a simple misdemeanor. He was taken to the Fayette County jail and held until his initial court appearance, before a Magistrate Judge.

A Monona man has been taken into custody on two Fayette County warrants, as well as several driving infractions.
The traffic stop was made at about 3:45pm Tuesday (July 6), near the 100 block of 1st Avenue SE in Oelwein, by a Fayette County deputy. The driver, identified as 36 year old Andrew James Kleitsch of Monona, was arrested on charges of Driving While his License is Suspended, Failure to Provide Proof of Financial Liability, and Operation Without Registration.  The charges are all simple misdemeanors.

Kleitsch was also wanted on two valid Fayette County arrest warrants, for Failure to Appear in Court for the original charges of Driving While Suspended, and Failure to Provide Proof of Financial Liability.

Kleitsch was taken to the Fayette County jail in West Union, and held until his initial court appearance before a Magistrate Judge.
