A Popular Dubuque Boutique is Expanding to Kennedy Mall

A popular Dubuque boutique is expanding from its sole store in the Millwork District to the Kennedy Mall.

This expansion comes after the boutique has been met with great success from the community, and during a time of new developments for one of Dubuque's most premier shopping centers.

Classy & Chic Boutique is set to open its second location inside the Kennedy Mall this fall. Storeowner Donna Weber told Telegraph Herald/Biz Buzz that she hopes to open the mall-based store in early October. Meanwhile, Classy & Chic Boutique's first location, at 1065 Jackson Street, will remain open,

Weber started Classy & Chic Boutique in her home almost five years ago. With strong sales out of the gate, as well as a rapidly growing customer base, she quickly realized she would need some retail space. As a result, she opened her Millwork District location in April 2019.

Classy & Chic's second location will be in the former Yankee Candle space, near Kay Jewelers, in Kennedy Mall, per Telegraph Herald. While there will be similar styles of clothing and accessories in both the mall and Jackson Street location, the exact same items won't be available at both locations. However, both stores will carry "curvy items" as well as a kids' line.

Our demographic now [in the Millwork District] is [ages] 30 to 70. I think the mall might have a younger demographic for us. [The mall] is really trying to support more businesses. - Classy & Chic owner Donna Weber, per Telegraph Herald

 

While customers wait for their second location to open in Kennedy Mall, Classy & Chic Boutique will continue to serve the Millwork District. They are open Monday - Wednesday from 10am - 5pm; Thursday and Friday (10am - 6pm); Saturday (10am - 4pm); and Sunday (11am-3pm).
