College basketball isn't immune to adverse weather.

With the arrival of a major winter storm, UNI athletic officials have announced a time change for the women's basketball game Friday between the Panthers and Evansville at the McLeod Center in Cedar Falls. Originally scheduled to begin at 6:30 PM, the start time has been moved ahead to 5 PM for weather and travel considerations.

Because of the time change, fans attending the game will be admitted free of charge. Fans who have already purchased a ticket will receive a free ticket to a future game this season, UNI athletic officials said.

Season ticket holders can claim a friend pass to any game during 2019-20 season.

To redeem the free ticket for future games, stop by the UNI Athletics Ticket Office at the McLeod Center.

The Panthers are back at home for the first time since Dec. 15, having played eight of their last nine games away from Cedar Falls. UNI enters the weekend with a 9-5 overall record, and a 1-2 mark in Missouri Valley Conference play. The Purple Aces are 3-12 and have yet to win a league game.
