2021 Class 1A Iowa High School Boys Basketball State Tournament
Here are the 2021 Iowa High School Boys State Basketball Tournament Class 1A pairings and results.
Class 1A quarterfinal games will be played on Monday, March 8. The winners advance to the state semifinals on Wednesday, March 10. The championship game is scheduled for Friday, March 12 at noon. Due to restrictions related to COVID-19, consolation games have been suspended this year.
The eight-team field includes the following squads: Easton Valley of Preston, Grand View Christian of Des Moines, Lake Mills, Martensdale-St. Marys, Montezuma, North Linn of Troy Mills, St. Mary's of Remsen, and South Winneshiek of Calmar.
South Winneshiek is making its third state tournament appearance and first since 1987. The Warriors first qualified for state in 1985.
There will be a new state champion in Class 1A. Defending titlist Wapsie Valley is not part of the eight-team field this year. Returning qualifiers are: Lake Mills, Martensdale-St. Marys, Montezuma, St. Mary's of Remsen.
