There is a whole lot of love to go around on this tour. The lead singer of Parmalee Matt Thomas had nothing but nice things to say about Hayes.

"The crowds have been packed out every night..." Thomas said, "Walker is a great dude. It's been fun meeting his family. Everyone's just been walking around dancing."

Walker Hayes opened up with fans about his battles with addiction. Before performing an unreleased song, the singer told the crowd at the Alliant Energy PowerHouse that this October was his "seven-year sober birthday."

The 'Fancy Like' singer has never shied away from talking about his struggle with alcoholism.  He has written multiple songs about the challenges of sobriety. Some of them are more somber like 'Beer in the Fridge' and others are a bit lighthearted like his mega-hit 'AA'

During the show, the Alabama native said that he didn't just have a problem with booze, he has an addictive personality.

"Pretty much anything I touch, I can turn it into an addiction," Hayes explained.

Whether it be whiskey or working out or even writing songs, he knows that his issues stem from something a bit deeper than just overindulging in alcohol.

The singer performed a new song that captures his struggles with addiction called 'Same Drunk.' If you've ever felt like you're struggling with some sort of addiction, this song perfectly describes it...

Here are some of the lyrics.

"Daddy's hooked on cutting the grass...brother's hooked on smoking some...

Same drunk...different beer...trying to cope with all the crazy down here!"
