More About the New Community Natatorium
The new facility is the result of a partnership between the City of Cedar Falls, the Cedar Falls Community School District, and Jump In, a coalition of more than 500 local swim enthusiasts and community members.
The collaboration created a space that supports both recreation and competition while remaining accessible to residents of all ages.
Inside, swimmers will find two separate pools with individualized temperature controls:
Fogdall Family Competition Pool – A deep-water, 10-lane pool measuring 25 yards by 25 meters, ideal for training and competition.
Van G. Miller Family Charitable Foundation Pool – A shallower, four-lane pool designed for lessons, therapy, and family programs, maintained at a warmer temperature for comfort and accessibility.
The Natatorium also features spectator seating for 500, multiple locker rooms (including family changing areas), two one-meter diving boards, and a dedicated training room.
Costs to Use the Facilities
Daily admission is $7 per person, or $3 for infants under two. Seasonal passes can be purchased online or at the Cedar Falls Recreation Center.
Public hours include open swim and lap swim sessions throughout the week, with both weekday and weekend access available.

City officials say the new Natatorium is more than just a place to swim — it’s an investment in community wellness and local tourism. The facility will allow Cedar Falls to host swim meets, regional competitions, and events that bring visitors to the area.
