EDM Festival Shifts Location from Independence to Waterloo
Last year, a new and unique music festival premiered in Eastern Iowa. Organizers viewed it as a successful event, so they decided to do it again this year.
The Balance Music & Arts Festival is an EDM (electronic dance music) festival that will take place right here in Eastern Iowa.
Organizers looked to provide attendees at this year's gathering with a wide variety of musical acts.
Headliners for the multi-day event include daily bread, Dr. Fresch, and OPIUO.

A little over a month out from the music festival weekend, event organizers announced a sudden change to the fest.
Officials shared the news that the Balance Music & Arts Festival would be switching locations. Initially, this EDM fest was going to take place on acres of land along the Wapsi River, just outside of Independence.
Now, it will be located in a "spectacular venue nestled between the Lost Island Waterpark & Themepark, the Isle Casino, the KOA Campgrounds, and the SOuth Hills Golf Course in Waterloo, IA."
Organizers did not give a specific reason for the cancellation, only that it was due to "unforeseen circumstances outside of our control."
The music festival will take place on August 22nd through the 25th at the new location. These are the same dates that were initially set aside for the music festival when it was set for the Independence location.
