Authorities Looking For Pickup, Camper After Bremer County Crash
Authorities are searching for a pickup truck pulling a camper that may have been involved in a Bremer County crash that seriously injured a motorcyclist over the weekend.
According to sheriff's officials, the accident happened Sunday around 10:30 AM near the 199-mile marker of U.S. Highway 218/Iowa Highway 27 south of Waverly. Authorities believe the pickup truck and camper were traveling south on the highway at the time of the crash.
Officials are asking for the public's help in locating the pick-up and camper. They also want information from anyone who may have seen the pickup and camper in the area. They are also want to talk to witnesses.
Saint Ansgar man hurt in accident
Authorities identified the injured motorcyclist as Lawrence Gogg of Saint Ansgar. Deputies said Gogg suffered serious injuries in the crash. He was transported to the Waverly hospital for treatment.
The accident remains under investigation.
Bremer County sheriff's deputies were assisted at the scene by Waverly police, the Iowa State Patrol, Iowa Department of Natural Resources, Waverly firefighters, Janesville firefighters, Janesville First Responders, Waverly Ambulance and Air Care.
