Authorities report that an Oelwein man was busted for pot and meth, a West Union woman was arrested for an assault, and an Oelwein man was taken into custody for a domestic incident.

A routine traffic stop in Oelwein, has resulted in the arrest of a local man on illegal drug charges.
The Fayette County Sheriff's Office reports that the incident took place at about 8pm on August 4th, in Oelwein.

A deputy pulled over a vehicle in the 100 block of 3rd Street NW. During the investigation, the officer arrested the driver, 39 year old Joshua James Levendusky of Oelwein, on two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance-Marijuana and Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Levendusky was taken to the Fayette County jail in West Union, where he was held until his first court appearance.

Fayette County authorities say that a West Union woman has been arrested for an alleged assault.
The Fayette County Sheriff was notified at about 9:45pm Sunday (Aug. 8) of an assault at a residence in the 20,000 block of "O" Avenue, near West Union.
Following an investigation, 59 year old Rebecca O'Dell was taken into custody on a charge of Simple Assault.
O'Dell was held in the Fayette County jail until her initial court appearance.

Police have arrested an Oelwein man after responding to an incident early Tuesday (Aug. 10). At about 3am, Oelwein Police officers were called to a domestic disturbance in the 900 block of North Frederick Avenue.
Several hours later, at about 11pm Tuesday, Oelwein Police arrested 49 year old Randall Meike of Oelwein, for Domestic Abuse Assault-Causing Injury, 1st Offense.
