Armed, Dangerous Man Wanted in Area Murder
Authorities are warning the public about a man still at-large, involved in an apparent murder in Northeast Iowa.
It happened Friday night in Charles City; just before 10pm, police received a report of shots fired in the 2100 block of Clarkview Drive. A responding ambulance took the victim to the Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City, where they were pronounced dead. The name of the victim has not yet been released.
The Iowa DCI was brought in to assist in the investigation. As a result, 36 year old Antoine Williams was named as a suspect. He is charged with 1st Degree Murder.
A warrant has been issued for Williams' arrest. He is described as a black male, 6'7" tall, about 250 lbs, possibly driving a red 2006 Chevrolet Equinox, with Iowa license plate number DOW568.
Williams is considered armed and dangerous; authorities warn not to approach the suspect, but call local authorities if he is spotted.
