A West Union man was hospitalized over the weekend, from an accident involving a fork lift.

At about 1pm Saturday, the Fayette County Sheriff received a report of an accident at a residence on Nature Road near St. Lucas. An investigation determined that 57 year old Glen Yost of West Union was using a fork lift to move equipment on an icy driveway.

The fork lift tipped onto it's side, pinning Yost's leg.

Yost was freed by emergency workers. He was airlifted by Gunderson Air to an area hospital for treatment. There was no word on his condition.

The Fayette County Sheriff was assisted at the scene by TriState Ambulance, St. Lucas Fire, and Waucoma First Responders.
