Another Major Food Recall Hits Midwest Grocery Stores—What You Need to Know
It seems like there is always news of some sort of product recall in the United States.
Earlier this month, we shared with you the news of a cracker recall in the Midwest. This is a part of a Class II recall that involves oyster crackers that are sold at popular stores like Target and Walmart.
Now, another recall has been issued involving a major grocery store chain and several Midwestern locations.

Aldi Issues Recall on Popular Cheese Product
Great Lakes Cheese Co. Inc. issued a voluntary recall of one of their products that is sold at Aldi grocery stores across the country, according to reports.
This is affecting the sale of pouches of Aldi's Happy Farms shredded Colby Jack cheese.
Why Was Aldi’s Cheese Recalled?
The Food and Drug Administration issued a Class II recall of approximately 4,800 bags of the product over concern that the product contains stainless steel metal fragments.
400 cases were distributed amongst several states with twelve pouches of cheese in each case, according to reports.
The initial recall was issued in mid-February, so the product has most likely been pulled from Aldi shelves, according to Fox Business.
Which Aldi Locations Sold the Recalled Cheese?
These cheese pouches were sold in the following four states across the country: Connecticut, Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
How to Check If Your Aldi Cheese Has Been Recalled
The universal product code (UPS) for the recalled items is 4061463330840 with best buy dates of July 13th and July 14th, 2025.
