You Can Now Vote on the Name for Iowa’s Newest Seal Pup

The Blank Park Zoo in Des Moines needs your help!

Last month, a seal by the name of Maru gave birth to an adorable little female seal pup. The Blank Park Zoo says the pup is doing very well, but she's still in need of a name! Earlier this month, the zoo announced that anyone could make a name suggestion for a $50 donation to the zoo by September 12th. We are happy to report that the name finalists were revealed yesterday! Your options are:

• Desi
• Lucy
• Penny
• Rose

I'm a little disappointed nobody suggested "Emma" (since her father's name is Ross) or "Sealena Gomez," but I guess these names are cute, too.
