Pickle Palace is Now Officially Open in Cedar Rapids [PHOTOS]

The wait is finally over! Pickle Palace in Cedar Rapids has officially opened its doors!

Located at 101 1st Ave SW, Pickle Palace is the newest addition to the First & First Development in Cedar Rapids. Its neighbor Big Grove Brewery just opened in December.

Despite its name, Pickle Palace is not just a place to play pickleball! The three-story business is also home to an event space, a rooftop pub & lounge, duckpin bowling, and a restaurant. As of right now, only the first floor is open, which means the event space, duckpin bowling, and rooftop pub & lounge are not currently available. A post from Pickle Palace on Facebook reads:

"Our *first floor* is open for dining, pickleball and shopping Pickle Palace merchandise. Stop in and experience our ground level!"

The menu at Pickle Palace features all sorts of comfort food, including bacon mac & cheese, the Almost Famous Bowl, cheesy potato soup, loaded fries, pulled pork, and fried cheese. Rumor has it, the fried cheese is the best in town! And, in case you were wondering, there ARE some dishes involving pickles, like the Frickles (fried pickles), pickle wrap dip, and dill hummus appetizers. You can check out the full menu HERE.

If you're interested in playing some pickleball, Pickle Palace's website says that they have reserved court times, open play, leagues, group classes, individual instruction, and both indoor and outdoor courts. As of right now, the indoor courts are available by the hour Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to close. Pickle Palace is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday & Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
